Lol you guys all need to grow some balls and learn to launch your cars! I can spin all 4 launching at 3800k and i never launch that low. I have a STG2 sti for 2 years now and i spin all four like its my job at 5k clutch drop. I ran a 12.8 @ 107 with a DP and STG2 utec basemap (WITCH BLOWS)

And all you guys who spent 30k on your car... go out and drive it. **** i have atleast 45+ 5k drops under my belt on stock clutch and tranny. Clutch is like the day i bought it!

I am getting inlinetube.com to make a custom SS line with flare nuts on the ends... this will allow eliminating of the hardline, the bracket on the firewall, and the rubber hose for weight savings (I estimate 0.5 lbs if you take into consideration fluid)... all the components will be replaced with 1 stainless steel 1ft long flexible hose from the MC to the SC... once I get the information, all of you will be able to order the exact same hose for about $33!

So please, if anybody knows a Subaru Master Mechanic or has any way of getting this info, please let me know...

umm idk who you are lol but just to let u know the whole point of a launch is to take off as fast as u can with out spinning the tires like its your job lolif you gonna launch that high let some air out your tires and i bet u can hit a 12.7 12.6 if you really got balls like u say flat foot shift and ull run 12.6 all day 12.3 on a custom tune.

I found out the fittings are 10x1mm (measured my Honda ones and then compared visually side by sde... it's definitely 1mm pitch)... and the flare is 45 degree double flare... 37 deg is for AN fittings only... and bubble flare is not used on Japanese cars... my mechanic friend said all Japanese cars in the last decade or so have been using 45 deg. double flare... so I ordered up a 15" line with 2 male 45 deg. double flares... $33 + $11 shipping = $44... I happen to have the right bolt (looks like a Honda Civic drain bolt is also 16x1.5mm pitch by almost exactly 10mm long! PERFECT... so I will be doing this install next week... should save about 1.25-1.5 lbs and improve clutch response. WOOHOO!

Oh yeah, and both bumper beams were removed long ago .

I started with JUST the AC idler (1lb) and shorter belt... then progressed to no belt for JUST winter (frees up hp lost to rotation of 2 lb pulley).... THEN the OUTER magnet pulley (1lb of static weight)... to removing the whole AC.... I have an idea for next summer... but that is a long time away... so right now I am enjoying the 20 lb weight reduction up front... feels awesome.
yea i used that stuff too, hopefully you have the uber sticky kind?
i had one kind and after i cleaned my engine bay, it just fell off.
got this other kind and that **** wouldn't move even after degreasing my engine, so it's really awesome stuff.

I was never able to spin with stock tires, except once with the diff open at the track with a hard launch. And now, with AVS Sports (18", can't be any stickier than stock), I'm even less able to spin.

I'd be interested in doing this mod (hate the feel and jerkiness of the stock clutch), but I also don't want to snap any axles. As it is, I can drop the clutch at 6 grand and launch like crazy (1.67 60's). But I still never get any wheelspin...
I can spin my tires with slicks on and i am stock. You probably are not launching correctly. *be carefull not to damage anything* it will not be covered due to abuse....subaru bull ****!!! I hate the subaru factory warranty bull****! Great cars! The worst service guaranteed!
