Default How To: Shifter Trim Mod (It's Free)

Real easy mod that will make your silver shifter trim piece pop out a bit more. The silver trim piece has this gaudy plain sti logo on it; make it more vibrant by coloring it in. It's a free mod and will only cost you less than 5 minutes of your time.

Tools:
-Red sharpie with a narrow tip
-Steady hands

Optional tools:
-q-tip
-rubbing alcohol

Instructions:
-Take the red sharpie and color along the grooved STI logo on top of the shifter trim piece.
-If you happen to color outside of the lines because you were an abandoned child that never saw a coloring book in your life, take a q-tip and dab it with rubbing alcohol to clean the excess markings.

Finished product:

keep the sharpie on hand to redo. It will fade on you over time. Mine's almost pink now

EDIT: Plus I think this is already stickied somewhere

I took it one step further and applied nail polish clearcoat to seal it in. Hasn't faded since I did mine 2 years ago.

Huh, never thought to try that. What I really want to know is why you have nail polish?

I did the first step using red nail polish and didn't need the clear coat afterwards. Why do I have nail polish? My mom owns a nail salon.
