Invidia v4 Downpipe to Stock Exhaust

I recently installed an Invidia v4 Downpipe on a 07 sti with a stock exhaust. I wanted to let others know that it will mate up to the stock exhaust with no issues. What I did was remove the stock donut gasget and use the 3" flat gasget. I sprayed the gasget with some copper gasget spray and bolted the pipes together with the bolts that came with the downpipe. Try to keep the gasget centered and slowely tighten the bolts evenly. I had a hard time prior to the install to find solid info on how to mate the stock exhuast to a DP. Hopefully this info may help somebody out.

Hey, I have a question on the other side of the down pipe. With my APS that I'm replacing I had to grind down the separator that makes it divorced (it is normal for the APS) I just wanted to know if it is necessary on the Invidia V4.

no grinding had to be done fitment was great

Thanks. Glad to hear I don't have to. Now people know that with the APS the divorced part touches the hot side and the Invidia doesn't.
