Default Bottom nut

Ok so I've got the front drivers side strut off and I'm trying to remove the bottom nut from the strut and I have broken it free bur now it just spins with the "bolt" it's attached to when I'm holding the strut shaft. If I'm not holding the strut then the whole assembly spins.

Help Please.

OK, I've not done this but....
Look to see if there is a alan head (hex) in the center. If there is you can hold the center still with an alan head wrench and turn the nut with an box end wrench.

Or hit the nut with an impact driver.
