Default Super cheap Ipod mount

ok guys this is my first how-to so bare with me,i unfortunately didnt get many pics because i was doing this by myself but everything is pretty easy. this will work if you have a Ipod case with storage for headphones on the back, something like this

1: remove the shifter console enough to get the screws out of the center console, simply lift the back of the part at the rear of the shifter boot and pull up

2: remove the 2 black screws that hold the center console on, then gently (i hate this part) pull it off, there are 2 clips on the top that are stubborn

3: disconnect the climate controls by pushing the small tabs on the bottom of the connectors up and wiggling, then remove the black tube (it just pulls off carefully of course)

4: (optional) i removed my radio so i wouldnt scratch it and i had some more room, if you choose to do this simply remove the 6 screws and disconnect just the same as the climate control

5: you will now have a big hole there

i used a piece of cardboard to fabricate the shape i need before transfering it to sheetmetal

that is what my bracket looks like after paint, the large slot is cut to fit the rubber extension for the headphones on the back of the ipod

there it is mounted, if i had to do this again i would mount it a little bit lower because the potential is there for your keys to hit the back of it under cornering

just another mounted shot before putting everything back together, i used 2 of the screws for the radio to hold the mount on

after reversing the order you took everything apart you will end up with this:

just simply slide the ipod into the slot and plug it in!
now i just need to get my aux board and i will good to go!
