Question Blitz exhaust owners

Please read as I have researched and still need help.

Okay after scouring the forums for info. I've decided I want the Nur Spec R, for its ease of fitment with the stock DP, and no '06 diffuser or diff. brushing issue....from what i've read and as loud as the N1.

My main question not really addressed is the fitment and not burning the rear bumper. What have you all done? I want to get the Carbon heat shield for looks/function and probably the Kartboy long hangers.

>>which hanger setup would work best, 3 long hanger in the back and 1 short on the midpipe?

>>3 short and 1 long tilting the exhaust a bit, but which way? drivers side long hanger would rub on the diffuser and diff.

>> or just 4 long hangers, would it really be that low, I don't plan on lowering my car, i'm riding high for MN winters.

Thanks for comments and being patients with yet another thread on the Nur Spec

I have a blitz nur spec rx. basically the same as the nur spec R. Its fits good no problem with burning the rear bumper. Is not as loud as the R. I also have a invidia downpipe, fitment is really good.

I've had the nur spec r installed now for the last seven months now and it's fantastic. Fitment to the stock downpipe was perfect, reused the stock hangers. I've had no rattles, no burning of the rear bumper, nothing. The only gripe that i have is, is that if yours come with a silencer, it will rattle when the silencer is on. I just used some header wrap and no more rattles.

Um, i haven't really compared the sound to the N1 but it is really loud when you get on it. Highway cruising hasn't really bugged me at all, i can still listen to the stock crappy radio and carry a conversation with the person next to me without the exhaust being overwhelming. hope this helps.

I have the Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust and I LOVE it. I was really worried when I heard it burns bumpers but I've had it for months and not even a bit of black is on my bumper. I have a CGM STi so its really easy to tell when the car is dirty. I even check the little bumper cut out for the exhaust and there is no black build up. Also, I would NOT run longer hangers. You will be surprised when you see how huge that 3 inch piping is. My exhaust scrapes on almost every speed bump over 5mph and I couldn't imagine how bad it would be if it hung even lower.

On a side note, I am surprised at how many people think this exhaust is extremely loud. With the windows up and the radio barely on, its sometimes hard to hear the exhaust. From behind, the car sounds AMAZING, but on the inside, all you can hear is the low growl of the engine, kind of resembling a Harley.

I`ve had the Blitz for 2 yrs now and its great. For a daily driver and occasional auto-x the stock hangers will work fine. I did melt part of my rear bumper while doing a track day though. So I did buy a pair of long exhaust hangers that I install for track use.
