Wrinkle Black - Pilarless Grill Mod - 04-05 Impreza

Here is another of my How To's on pilarless mod to the grill.

Started in the evening...

Cut it out.
Grinded it down with Dremel.
Sanded.
Bondoed Twice.
Sanded again and finally Primered.

Dryed overnight and Painted Nex Day... Wrinkle Black !!!

I desided to try something different this time. I always loved the way Wrinkled paint look..... and there it goes.

One Year Later

Its pretty complicated to clean that wrinkle finish. And it got kinda old.
so I gave that one away and moded another one.

This time I used the Rustoleum Textured Paint and I Realllly like the results.
Finish is matte with fine sand like texture. Looks great. And its also great match for interior parts if you want to paint something (I also painted my ATI gauge pod with same paint, perfect match)

That is AutoZone license plate re-locator bracket. Under $10 if i remember correctly.

Looks good. Now just paint your license plate bracket that color to prevent rust

Also, where do you get bondo?

Bondo or Glazing putty. Usually sold in any automotive store. Even walmart has it. LOL
