Agreed... now i just gotta debate what im going to do w/ the red... keep doing little red accent pieces or black the car out... i thought red would look a little different, but the blackout cars usually look awesome....

I want to black out the abc pillars but, so far from the results I've seen, they all are glossy. Which looks kinda eh, IMO. Flat black just looks weird. Also don't want to wrap them in some material because that would be $$.

Bishop, do you have any close up pics (other than the first page) of your A pillar. I want to see the difference between the plastidip and the dash color.

I have my Pillars painted with Textured Black paint. Not glossy and very close match to stock.

I am almost finished with complete dash and pillars blackout. So I will post some pics later, maybe a complete HowTo paint thread, not sure yet.

for now here is some teasers.

Was it a Rustoleum product?? I did the entire interior of my race car with Rustoleum textured paint and it was awesome. But it had more of a gritty texture to it. But it did go on very nice. Easy to work with, dried quickly, etc...

i'll try to remember to take a pic of where the A pillar meets the dash... to be honest, the color isnt off by alot (but it is) not noticeable by me, and gives a good dash like texture...

Yes I used Rustoleum Textured Paint for Plastic on my pillars and Plastidip on dash peices. Turned out Great.

Just got my last Defi gauge and finnaly mounted A-pillar pod.

Still working on some finishing touches like , Red haz button, Red Hvac leds and Red door switches and Foglight and hid leveling button.

I will post pics when its all finished.

Ahhh Haaaa! "Textured Paint for Plastic". Gonna have to take a look for that. It's got an excellent factory kinda look to it. It definitely seems to have a different filler in it than the stuff I used. The textured stuff I used felt like it had sand or silica in it.

Very nice job. Can't wait to see your final product.

Thanks for the reply.

So now its a war between Rustoleum textured paint and Plastdip From all the pics and ProdriveRex's the both look pretty good.

Bishop, Thanks for future pics I just want to know how off the colors are before I go buy more supplies. Maybe ill just spray something small and put it next to the dash to compare

Rustoleum is closer match to the stock dash and more durable, but the downside is its Permanent.

Plastidip is slightly more reflective and have deeper black color, but its removable/pealable.

So, i tried taking pics w/ the digital camera that i still dont know how to use, and my camera on my cell phone, neither came out... the cell was blurry and terrible lookings... the digital camera made the A pillars look WAY different.... look at the 1st pic in post #1... the finished product.... its a similar contrast, but on the pillar instead of the dash.... it looks good IMO, and like Prodrive said, its removeable...
