Don't you have holes in your trunk lid when you removed your wing? I'd like to go wingless too, but an wondering what to do with the mounting holes in the trunk......any advice?

To the OP, get the third light and the new rear deck shelf for the light (otherwise you will have to cut your current one). There is a plug just under the rear deck for the 3rd brake light. It is pretty easy. I ended up cutting my current shelf because I wasnt going to put the wing back on. Mine was trial and error for the holes and took me about an hour. It looks OEM though.

For a temporary fix for the 3rd brake light you can take the who brake light assembly out of the wing and mount it on your rear deck with double sided tape. It still works and will be fine until you get the new light. I ran that setup for about a few weeks until I had time to install the new light.

Sorry for the camera phone pics, but this is right after my install.

Your options are to find a trunk swap-free, buy a new trunk $300 + Paint 200-300, weld the holes up-unsure of cost, but you risk warping the trunk, use plugs for the holes and it will look like the pic below $20.

Depending on your color, it will be easy or hard to get a swap. WRB and White seem to be the most common, but the problem is there are more people looking to go wingless than to get an STI wing. FYI, I have CGM and it took me 3 months to find a swap and had to drive 700 miles round trip to get it.

I went salvage rout. Swap was taking to long. This way I got the correct torsion bars, 3rd light and rear shelf with cut out all together. Bought a lmt spoiler had the whole thing painted.

3Rd light is a snap to install and cheap, especially if you are willing to cut your rear shelf.
