I just realized that I forgot to transfer over the plastic sheething that sits on the spring towards the bottom, do you think I will have any problems from not doing so? Thanks also for the great walk through, helped me alot

Why would you need to transfer it over. Your JDM pinks should have come with it. I guess I am assuming you installed pinks vs some other aftermarket spring.

In any case the plastic sheething keeps the metal coils of the spring from directly compressing and contacting each other. The prevent noise and chipping of the paint on the spring.

Put back the rubber black sleeve. Im guessing you're talking about the rear struts? I think it is there to avoid abrasion between the spring and the strut

I actually installed Tanabes and noticed the plastic coil sheething on the lower part of the spring in the photo of yours and realized I didnt transfer it over from the stock spring. I hope it doesnt create a problem, but I doubt it will. Was just asking your opinion about it.

If you struts get wet or you drive through rain, yes it will create a problem, you'll get strut piston stiction issues (also known as strut clunk) ...

This really helped me guys! Thanks. I have to put my stock suspension back in the car. I purchased some other stock suspension and by using your pics I was able to identify what was missing. Thanks.

I have the same problem... I checked the perch and three holes on top of the perch are facing out. But the rear passenger clearance is ok. I only have the problem with the front passenger side. What else can I do?

My driver's side sits a little lower than my passenger's side too. I think it's part of the characteristic of the car.

The passenger side is 1/2 inch higher than the driver side. The driver side is 26 inches high the passenger is 26 and a 1/2. That bothers me.

I just bought a pair of used Pinks and the plastic coil sheething on mine is coming off... What kind of glue would be appropriate to use? I'm thinking about something that will stick well, and endure the elements.

Glue?

You mean the coil protector on the back springs, right?

Good question. I dunno, I would find some kind of a wide rubber hose, split it in half and kinda 'wrap' it around the coils like in the photos ..

I am talking about the grey protectors on all the springs.
They are held on by glue and one of them is a lil loose...
I think some krazy glue or something might do the trick.

the stuff holding it on there is kind of a rubber cement; whatever you use should be somewhat flexible since the spring is (obvioulsy) flexing all the time and the metal and plastic will contract differently depending on the temperature. krazy glue is too rigid.

you beat me to it. Upon further inspection I did notice that it was a rubber cement type of adhesive. Now I just need to figure out what is the most appropriate to use.
