Default Leave airduct in after CAI install?

What have you all done with the airduct that runs from the front of the car to the left of the engine bay? Its that piece that would feed air into the silencer delete with the stock airbox on. Mine has been on since install, but I am curious why I should have/not have it on there. It seems like it would help direct air towards the intake, but most of the engine bay pictures I have seen have it removed.

It is very effective IMO. It's one of those why the *ell not things. It simply directs more air, than not having it at all. Even with a cai it's usefull imo. I've alwase run my snorkle.

it gets more air flow. why even doubt it? alot of people take it out for looks/don;t feel they need it/won't fit with new setup....and this is def the wrong section

I never doubted it. I just figured there must be a reason other than looks that I might be missing.

I have been around a while and could not quite figure out the section this belongs in. Unless a mod says otherwise, it seems like it may be the right section since it relates to a CAI install. And lets be honest... the engine/performance section does not need another CAI thread.

For all I care, it can be deleted now.
