Default How to install gauge set up on 07

on the 07 STi i was told by 2 different dealers and their service guys that u can not put the 3 gauge set up on the console because the clock is linked to the airbag light of the passenger seat, if disconnected air bag wont work.
has anyone done a gauge set up on the console for an 07?
i was thinking of keeping the clock/airbag unit plugged in and hiding it under the dash and running power from else where to the gauge set up.
..any thoughts or input?

Yes the airbag light stays on but you can leave it plugged up and just put gauges pod over it, just be sure to ziptie it off or else you will have rattles (even more than usual)

I'd run power from the radio and HVAC harness. This way you can listen to the radio when then engine isn't running without the warning beep driving you mad from the gauges. Plus you get one uniform sweep from the dash and gauges assuming you're going with Defi's.
