I have question, did you paint your diffuser and order the fins in CF? what is the original FRP color?

The original unpainted diffuser is a glossy black finish. You could leave it that way, but it had imperfections.
I ordered the FRP diffuser and it happened to come with the CF fins. Didn't plan it that way. I assume all FRP versions come with CF fins.

But by painting it becomes more susceptible to paint damage from scratches from road debris and such? I only ask because the pictures you supplied look awesome, and I want the same look. So is the only diffrence is with sving no gloss with paint?

Prior to installation the diffuser looked like this...

I suppose I could have put it on as is but I don't care for the glossy finish. Painting it does open it up to being chipped but I was just underneath the rear of my car this morning and as of this point there is no visibile damage from driving it every day.

Mature Diffuser = No Cutting

HKS Kansai Diffuser = Cutting

Just to clear somethings up.... The Mature diffuser is ALL CF no FRP.

My bad...
I just knew you had experience under that end of the vehicle with a diffuser and could , likely, have some suggestions. Didn't mean to name drop or anything...
