Default RCE T2 Install problem

Well, all was going well during the install tonight.

The only minor hiccups were:

Needed a strap wrench to tighten the nut to 26lb/ft. and a stupid sales rep at autozone who didnt know how to find anything in the store.

Well, the biggest problem was trying to install the front with the whiteline max-c camber plates. After installing and tightening the camber plate bolts, I tried to install the 2 bolts to the hub.... IT WONT FIT!!! The bottom of the coilover is hitting the cv boot. No matter how i adjust it (even using the height adjustment threads and turning it to the lowest position to try and get it on), I cant get it to NOT hit the cv boot. The coilover is already all the way up into the tower.

So, I ended up calling it a night and cleaned up my stuff. I put the RCE coilover next to my teins and the RCE assembly is about an inch or more longer than the Teins. What really sucks is that I was borrowing a friends lift and had to pack my stuff up and put the old C/O's back on after already taking them off just so I could drive back home.

Am I just doing something wrong? This is the second set of coilovers installed and When I did the teins, I dont remeber a single problem besides trying to adjust the actual height.

Its a little to late to call RCE so if I cant get any answers on here, Ill bug the guys at RCE tomorrow.

Thanks

How to Install RCE Tarmac 2 Coilovers w/WL front and Cusco rear Camber Plates

Does this help?

Everything lined up on mine up front.

I didn't mess with any ride height until after they were installed and the wheels were on and it was sitting on the ground.

I followed Karls install when I installed mine a few months ago. I didn't have a problem with them lining up when installing. I pulled the last bolt out for the stock struts when removing them and it smashed into the cv boot. I only had one side of the car jacked up so the swaybar was causing the lower control arm to be pulled up. I just took them back off the car on Sat. for winter and put the stock struts/springs back in. It didn't look like it was going to line up at all, and in fact it wouldn't unless one of the techs at work didn't show me a tool for prying the lower control arm down and then it was easy. So basically, use something to pry it down to get it to line up, although for me the RCEs lined up fine, or at least close enough I just pulled to get everything lined up by hand.
