Default SPT turbo heat shield install without removing intercooler?

I was wondering if I could do this by just removing 1 bolt on the left side of the intercooler. I attempted this with no luck or is there a special way of doing this? I don't want to take the intercooler off cause I heard it was a pain to put back on.

I did mine in less than 5 mins, you dont need to remove the innercooler. You have to angle it in the right direction for it so slide in.

How would I angle it? I tried taking the bolt off and then I put the shield on top of the turbo and couldn't slide it in between the clamp in the intercooler. Or am I supposed get a nut or something to hold it in?

Take the bolt off along with the rubber grommet. Slide the heat shield through then slap the grommet back in and screw the bolt in.

take the intercooler off, its not that bad, makes you learn how to do it for the future if needed. Challenge yourself.

i just replaced my stock heat shield today with a cobb hs. did NOT take intercooler off. all you need to do is remove 5x 10mm bolts 3 on top 2 on bottom end and rotate it out. took me about 10 mins. the replacement hs goes in even quicker.
