Don't worry about the tooth count on the parking brake for now. If your rotor is still stuck first make sure the parking brake is RELEASED!! I know it sounds stupid but I did it myself.

Next make sure you are loosening the parking brake screw and not tightening it. To loosen it make sure you are cranking the gears downward and not upward. I had to move 25 teeth on mine before it would release the rotor.

The next step is to take a soft face dead blow hammer and give each side of the rotor a whack to loosen it up. Just work at it and be patient. If it doesn't come off then take a break and grab a beer until your nerves calm down because you don't want to get pi$$ed and wind up breaking something.

Some times you just need to use some brute force! Glad everything went well!

1. Make sure the parking brake is disengaged
2. Tighten the screw until the wheel will not turn anymore, the parking brake will actually engage the rotor
3. Back it out about 5 clips and test to see if the wheel is free spinning
4. Pull the parking brake handle and engage the parking brake and make sure the wheel does not spin
5. Take the car to a hill and make sure the parking brake holds the car for at least a few minutes

Even though these are fixed calipers shouldn't the wear indicator be on the inside pad....

I am talking about the first picture.

Are you just pad slapping it? you should take the rotor off and have it turned.

No to replace the pads only you do not have to remove the caliper. Just remove the 2 studs and the spring clip and pull the pads out. You will have to find a way to flush the pistons again to make enough room to get the new pads in tho.
