Default Tri-pod removal...

I have the facotry option tri-pod thing on the dash where the clock typically goes. I am trying to remove the gauges so that I can change the bulb color from white to red. Does anyone know how to remove the unit without breaking clips, etc? Thanks in advance.

Pull up on the back of the gauge pod. It will pop out.

The clock one pops out the same as my 3-pod one? Sorry for sounding redundant, I just want to make sure...

Yeah, it uses the same mounting points as the clock pod.

Um if your talking about the factory three gauge pod then you have to pop the gray cover forward and up and it will expose the backs of the gauges. Then you will see four screws holding it into the dash.
Here is the bottom of the cover.

and here is what the gauges will look like after the cover is off.

There "pop" clips. Ive taken them out several times with no issues. There are 2 ways. 1 is pull on it until it comes out. 2nd is take out the radio and gi in from the bottom, but you will have to maneuver arounf the center vents. I usually use opition #1. If your still having issues in 2 weeks, let me know Ill be home by then.
