The winner is selling because he needs to pay taxes on the prize, and if you look at some of the pictures, the camo vinyl wrap is a little messed up in random places on the car.

Peeling in a few places is an understatement. I wonder what the reserve is on this. I mean it is a $27,000 right now and all he needed to do was pay the taxes on something he won.

Greedy bastard, me thinks.

This guy actually lives in Boulder, and from what i have heard from my friends who have met him, he is a really nice guy. I think the goverment valued his car around 60k or something crazy, so thats what he is paying taxes on.

Wow what a pity. I was always wondering if the car was painted or all stickered up. Now I know.

It's vinyl'd, but the car itself is amazing. I got ride in it a few weeks back, and yes the seat held up nicely despite Big Black's huge ass.

Even if it is valued at 60k, he is already making well over 10k with it selling at 27k. How much money is he trying to make there?

Personally I would take off the vinyl, keep the orange Speedlines and everything else, fix up the front end, add a lip and keep it. Why enter a contest for it if you can't pay the taxes for it? I'm sure it was all explained in the rules.

0 bids and 27g asking price to start. Methinks that it will stay at 0 bids.

Also, the reason you enter a contest and not be able to pay the taxes on the item is to sell it and make a profit, which seems to be exactly what he is trying to do. But then, selling on Ebay, no one is going to pay what the car is worth. If he brakes even on this car I would be greatly surprised.

He probably didn't expect the govt. to consider it a $60k car when it's only worth about $30k at most.
