I was just there yesterday getting my STi back. Took a long look at the car while I was waiting. Hotsubaru is the bomb! Sure they over charge on labor, etc, but they know what they're doing and I trust them. And not everyday you see a dealership selling aftermarket performance products that are not in the brand catalog and still honor the warranties.

It's interesting becasue the other day I saw a new 2.5L WRX with black Ultraleggras at Subaru of Dallas. It looked slick! These guys are certainty trying hard to sell them.

Thanks,

Curious how they handled the passenger airbag sensor since the clock/sensor was removed.

never seen that, but ive personally seen a dealer personalized rsx type s, brand new with aftermarket stuff, so i dont think its totally out of the question. i just question the whole warranty thing and if they will honor it cuz some of the stuff isnt spt

It's a tinted film that goes over the stock plastic.

Car looks great! I'm going to be moving to Plano soon! Glad to see they have an aftermarket friendly dealership.

I think they avoided the AccessPort because that would void the warranty. All else on there really won't have any affect on the warranty in all reality. Everything is either cosmetic or doesn't really have much affect on the mechanics of the car aside from the pulley and we all know that pulleys have a very small affect. Other dealers normally don't warranty a car with this stuff because (a) they don't understand them, (b) they didn't install them, or (c) they're a good excuse to not honor a warranty.

The price they are charging for all the parts isn't too far off from reality if you factor in labor and dealers charge $100 an hour for labor. It's a lot more than what most of us would pay, but it's really nice for someone who wants top quality aftermarket parts right out of the box. The dealer may not be willing to negotiate on the price of the aftermarket stuff, but the price of the car itself can be negotiated. My starting offer would be $37500 for it.

Actually, AP is not available yet for 07s. Not something you would most likely follow since your profile lists an 05.

Agree though as they prob didn't need EM, someone correct me if I am wrong.

None of their mods would require EM. I like it, very nicely done car with functional mods. I would not pay 42k though.

I think the dealer did a nice job of upgrading the car. Not to crazy but a few more little goodies than stock. Nice taste in upgrades

It's one thing for us to do that, but another thing for a dealer to install it and encourage that kind of behavior.
