Uh...no

Short ram with heat shield is still just a short ram with a piece of metal or plastic between the filter and hot engine bay air. A cool air intake of sorts at best.

A cold air intake takes its air from the fender well and not from inside the engine bay.

I own a SR and have a few ducts guiding fresh (cold) air to it. It still will not equal a CAI.
