The thermal barrier heat-shield assists in rapid warm-up of the cat for maximum efficiency and helping to reduce engine bay temperatures.

Alright, I didn't complain about my header (nor other issues) when I recieved mine coated in BLACK, although advertised in this same manner: "(Jethot coated headers are silver not black)".

Care to explain why you advertise your header as coated silver, yet when received in the JetHot box it is black as shown in the picture?

So, there's a free bump just to show that I am not trying to defame the Gruppe-S name. I just would like some clarification especially when i have been patient. I know Alex is taking care of me (albeit it's been over two months SINCE I have been charged for my coated uppipe I have yet to receive).

Hi yeah sorry, we've been using "stock" pictures. These are genuine Jet-Hot(tm) coated headers (you can call Jet Hot) but they keep changing their color on us. The new batch are all silver, but rest assured they are genuine Jet Hot (tm) units. For awhile we were using the Crucial coating (which was also black) but we have switched back to Jet Hot. Sorry about the confusion!
