Default front strut/shockers

Has any one had problem with front struts mine have starting knocking now ok when cold but after ibit when warmed up they knock badly more so drivers side

had it at dealer to day they say think strut knackered ,going in tomorrow for proper look they dont no if covered by warranty or not as cars fitted with eibach springs & host of whiteline parts

sounds just like newage cars had with struts after couple of yrs

Yeah they might deny warranty since you have those parts on there (I speak of US dealers, don't know where you are). But... Are you sure it's the strut? What if it's something else, like maybe a sway bar endlink, for example?

The strut clunk issue was widepread in the rear struts of previous generation STi's, I haven't heard of it happening on our fronts.

got it in one

well got the call y.day o/s front strut & top mount ****ed & n/s on way out as well & bolts cross theraded so they say blameing who ever fitted eibach springs which was done by previous owner not me,
as i guess they say warranty does cover this because springs were not std

then came the best bit can get replacement struts nx day BUT top mounts 4/6 wks b4 they could get them as on back order ,then came price unreal ,then said cant refit old parts because of cross threaded bolts so car would be off rd till mid april

had a ring round & got a set of bc coilovers comeing today, works out cheaper fitting full coilover set instead of just two front struts & top mounts

so if you have after market springs fitted & have problem say good bye to warranty unless you can chage them b4 you take it to dealer

Thats sucks mate.. At least you can get coilovers cheaper than stock replacements

Also guessing you are an electrician by trade
