This is a modified version of the Crawford Performance Air Oil Separator on the Ken Block Gymkhana Car. The purpose of this product is to keep the engine oil out of the intake system, including the intercooler.

Enjoy!
Great video! I checked through it to see if you covered the various changes for the 08 and yep, everything was there I did notice you guys did not receive or install the reflective heat tubing on the one hose which goes near the turbo. Have they stopped including that? I thought it was a pretty good idea to have it included.

That is not a bad idea at all! I love it.

Tattoo'd! D Maybe the shift knob should have an STI logo on it for good measure. I wouldn't want people to be confused.

Fortunately, it doesn't stay hot long and the car's white so overall it hasn't been that bad.

I haven't seen an iPod/iPhone sock...maybe its time to pay a visit to the apple store and get one to use for the iPhone when its in the car and the shift knob when the iPhone is with me.

Its been quite interesting. The shift knob seems to get the most attention every time a women gets in the car for the first time. I wish I had a camera to video tape it for you guys. Its like an instant attraction and most feel compelled to wrap both their hands around the knob simultaneously.

Thank you. You are correct. I didn't receive it nor did I have time to wait for it so I am still without it. When I spoke to them about the install and they provided their written instructions, I noticed the heat shield and asked them about it. They did let me know that it was something that was included in actual orders. They didn't have any stock when I requested the piece so they pulled one off their shop car for the video. I will likely install the heat shield next time I have some free time.

I have the same shift knob and love it, although I got mine before they offered engraving. Part of me wants to order a new one with the engraving, part of me likes watching the guys at the dealership try and remember where reverse is.

WTB video of Crawford Gymkhana exhaust. I'm seriously considering slapping my stock midpipe and running the gymkhana exhaust with HM down pipe.

That is one thing I'd love to watch.

Its coming S N. I haven't had time to video tape the sound of it on the car yet, but I am hoping to get the video done and up this week! Nonetheless, I did take a 140 mile round trip to visit Torsten and come up with the final graphics concept that also should go on the car this week. Its relatively slow progress, but hopefully a lot of these little things will come together rather quickly in the next few days.

It took some serious time to polish the RCE Regular Guy Springs How To Install video but its definitely one of the most detailed how to install videos that HSPN has done:

Default Re: MORE GRAPHICS - post #387

Me, visiting Torsten's printing facility...the fumes from the digital ink printed on the wrap material are so intense (and toxic) that you have to wear a respirator while the graphics print and dry:

I really liked the Touring Car look and I originally decided on a stripe for the side of the car. See the final concept design here.

I strayed from the original concept when I designed the SoCalSubies Camo that went on the hood and roof. The colors for the stripe needed to change as a result and I wasn't in love with the stripe that appeared in the final concept design. Something about how it ended didn't match my vision.

I ultimately decided to experiment, terminating the stripe on the rear bumper with various cuts/angles that phased out the stripe with different spacing. I had been looking at a lot of different stripes on race cars and the Gobstopper, the Subaru built by Roger Clark Motorsports, really inspired me.

It quickly became a challenge to design the angles and their spacing on a two dimensional image. We made a couple of different versions and decided to mock them up on the car before selecting the final look:

With the final design picked, Torsten showed up to my apartment a couple of days later to install everything. I was busy with work so I couldn't watch him but I was able to get there before he finished. Imagine my surprise as I opened the garage and saw his progress and the design actually on the car for the first time:

I spent some time watching him finish it off. These digitally printed wraps might look easy to install but he showed me everything that goes into making them perfect. Not only was I am impressed with his work, he did an awesome job consulting with me on the project and i am very happy with the results! Thanks Torsten!

More pics to come. It was incredibly late so this was the best outdoor shot I was able to muster. There are still a few things we will tweak in the future, but not bad for a first attempt

You would not believe how many Gawkers this car now receives...

Thank you for the compliments. I am very exciting to get some more power and get the car back on the track soon.
