OK, fine. I'll go take pictures of a dirty LR STI that drove 500 miles on the freeway, has never been washed, and has ugly stock wheels on it. JUST FOR YOU!

welcome back man, i'm glad your back in an STi especially since you're the one who got this entire website rolling.

the SSR type f are great and are on my list of potential wheels to get. i think the flat black color would look great on your LR and match the tint

Talk about an impulsive shopper!!! Congrats on your purchase, LR's are sweet. Had a question, you mentioned only some of the STi's you looked at were eligible for a $7k discount - what's the criteria? I was under the impression they had that deal on all of them.

Welcome back (to blowing all you cash on mods... )!

The $7,000 of is a stair-step program that is only available to dealers that sell a certain amount of cars. If you didn't sell enough cars you may only be able to offer $4,000 or $5,000 instead of $7,000 off. It's up to them if they want to price match the bigger dealers and take the loss, but if they sell it for $7,000 off and Subaru only gives them $4,000 that hurts a bit.

As for the welcome back...thanks . I'm trying not to blow all of my money on mods this time around, but I know how it goes... haha

Hey Ben,

About the [intelligent] feature -- it essentially limits torque to either 40 or 60% to increase fuel economy. The Sport mode allows 100% throttle, but cuts boost at 6k RPM, and the power to throttle position is actually just a little less than linear. Sport sharp holds boost all the way to redline and provides 100% throttle on anything over 50% of your right foot.

Just thought I'd throw that out there since you mentioned the feature. I love it.

That makes sense, but also makes me still wonder why Sport even exists. I want 100% throttle but please cut my boost early and make my pedal less responsive. What? lol

Thanks for the info though! I'll only be using "I" and "S#" I guess
