If it's somewhere closer than VIR, sure! An 8 hour drive is a bit much for me. I am going to be pushing to have my car to my standards of race ready by Summer 09 for sure. I want zero risk, so my cooling package should be installed by then I'm hoping.

I'm waiting on the alk since it messes with caster and I'm happy with stock caster. I'm also not convinced the anti-lift geometry change is beneficial on the new chassis with the stock springs/struts. The amount of braking dive on a track (I brake very hard as late as possible) is already substantial, and I'd worry about the rear walking around on me any more that it already does. Kinda ironic that they call the kit WALK.
I went with the front LCA bushings. I'm definitely seeing a roll center kit in my future but I'm holding off on the ALK until I get coilovers and lower my car most likely.

And yeah, after having them in my last car, they really are amazing how crisp the handling becomes. Granted, the STi does have less steering wheel dead zone wiggle than my legacy did stock, and it has WAY less than say our 09 Fozzie XT, but it still has some wiggle so this should solve that if it acts like my Leggy's did.

Also just a random note. I LOVE stage 1 and can't wait to get my DP & intake installed and a protune. I do believe I'll be in power heaven then.

I'm planning a similar first stage suspension upgrade so please post back with your impressions of the WL sway bars over stock.

I've seen the W0506 at a bunch of sites, but that's WRX-specific (and base Impreza). The STIs need W0507, which I can't find anywhere other than Whiteline's direct store, shipped from AU. Where did you get your LCA front bushings?

If I have the time I'll be doing the install tomorrow.

I got them from Harman Motive. They're still in the mail--hopefully arriving tomorrow.

Hmm... I couldn't find the W0507 on their site, just the W0506.

I just got the W0506. You're saying they're not going to work? I'll have to look into this, maybe give HM a call. Perhaps they both work identically, but WL decided to make two different names?

They *are* listed under the STI category of misc. suspension and not under the WRX section, so I'd assume they would work but I don't know.

Side note: I got my air intake in, WL front endlinks, and bushings in today. So after I hit up Subaru this afternoon to tackle some dents in our Fozzie I'll be working on installing.

According to WL and TiC the W0506 is only for the base Impreza and WRX; the STI is different and requires the W0507. Unfortunately Tony @ TiC said that the W0507 aren't even in production yet. It's on WL's web store, though, so I emailed them about availability. I suggest that everyone interested in the W0507 email WL about availability to let them know the demand is there (and to hurry up!). Our cars would greatly benefit from crisper steering.

Well, I had a busier than expected day and was at the dealership longer than anticipated so I didn't have time to work underneath the car. I did get my intake installed and here's my day 1 notes according to my AP:

AFR - Varied from 11 - 20.5. (11 was @ a rather low RPM, 20.5 was on decelleration)
Intake Temp - 63F ambient temp, upon driving around aggressively the temp was at a steady 74-78F. Parked and idling the temp went up to 130F but as soon as I got moving it went right back down in < 30 seconds I'd say.
Coolant Temp - Just for good measure I looked at this after some spirited driving. 190F and dropped lower and lower as I idled.

I also tried the AP dyno for fun. I don't know the weight of my car so I left it at like 3450? Somewhere around there--I don't really remember.

3rd gear 2k-6.5k -> 303hp/330TQ.
4th gear 3k-5.5k (this one is inaccurate, I also had to let off the gas and then get back on during the pull) -> 489hp/462tq? lol something like that. Obviously that is messed up. When I find a nice stretch of highway I'll give it another go. I took a picture w/ my cell but it didn't come out good.

Tomorrow I'm going to attempt the sway install. I should have about 4 hours to do them. Downpipe may have to wait till Friday.

Hrmmm... so they will not fit at all? That would be unfortunate I would give HM a ring but it's a little late tonight, just to see what's up. I might have to return these then if that's the case. What I got is labeled: W0506.

I am pretty sure (from reading in subiesport) that the WRX and STi share different LCAs. The WRX is black and kinda fatter. The STi is metallic in color and looks skinnier (more skeletal in design).
