IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2009 | Great looking car! I just got a white 08 STI as well. I have a quick question - what paint did you use to paint the fog light covers and the front grill? Did you have to sand it or do any prep work on it, or just spray directly over? Thanks! |

I did a partial sanding to see if it would work better and it came out a bit too shiny. You can't notice it in pictures but if you get REAL close you'll notice a difference. So, in other words, do not sand it because it is not needed. I'd recommend picking up 2 cans, and make sure they both have the same spray pattern--as in, they spray out the same amount of paint. You want a light mist over and over and over. |

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 1 reviews | An update on the car... I went to a meet and figured I'd spruce up the car's exterior/interior so I clayed the car and did a wax job. In the process of doing so I noticed various chips/dings and 3 very small barely noticeable dents. This is to be expected but yeah.. now that winter is over I can see the damages. Also, the grille/fog paint job has become a little damaged. I may respray soon and put a matte clear coat on if possible as well--maybe even have em professionally done, I'm not sure. EDIT: Also I am REALLY wanting to get my Varis cooling hood. I think the order of parts to be acquired will be: Wheels Springs (just for the look w/ the new wheels) Hood I'll be pretty much where I want to be then. I'll be installing my radiator soon, finally, as well. |

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 1 reviews | Yeah it comes with some metal wiring that you clamp around 4 hooks and then tighten it down. It's not super flush against the turbo but it is pretty big so there's more material to wrap around everything and I can tell it is keeping heat out of the engine bay FAR better than a heat shield. |

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 1 reviews | Well some funds have been consolidated. Prob going to be ordering some wheels soon. Yesterday on some back roads there was a street cleaner. Yesterday it was 70F out. Yesterday I wore shorts and didn't freeze. All of these signs = new wheels. |
