eek- so that's what it looked like. I had guessed it was the LCA, but that pic pretty much drives home the problem. Looks easy to overcome with a part re-design, although I'm disgusted that subaru didn't find and resolve this in earlier testing before staking their rally reputation on it. Is there a third pic in the set?

looking forward to pics of the new cooling system.

that dyno graph is interesting. The big jump from Cobb's stage 2 map makes me want to install my headers, get a CAI and a protune and drive the car for a bit before I do that 450 hp big cams project.

I actually got those pictures by taking screenshots of the video of the rally event on their website. I think it was the Colorado rally? Whichever had the 08s for the first time. Vid from http://www.subaru.com/rally in the video section.

The watercooling I'm going to be FINALLY fixing tonight or tomorrow. I've been so bogged recently with other stuff to do I haven't had the time to finish up. The processor block still is leaking so I have to disconnect the tubes and either tighten the block or seal the threads.

In other news I just got back from a local meet. We had maybe 15 cars come out on a very cold Sunday afternoon.

Snow tires are on, I drove them in light snow, they worked well

Here's the vid actually.. on the dcshoes website: DC Auto

...about 13 minutes into it.

Computer is running... finally had time to fix this thing! Graphics card temps have dropped by 20-25F and CPU temps are a bit lower. I forget exactly what they were before but I remember my graphics card was running really hot.

Also, I got 8gigs of DDR2 PC8000 and 2 more 1TB drives incoming. Yay!
