Btw if I could explain what my exhaust sounds like... the best way is to link to this.

Granted it is no where NEAR as accurate as that, but what I'm getting at is that I have far more ranges of sounds it seems. If I do low throttle it's one sound, 1/4 throttle another, 1/2 another, 3/4 another, flat out a completely different sound.

I am really anxious to hear what it sounds like from outside.

Bear with the size... it's HD :P 546mb of stage 2 fun. (right click, save target as.)

Can you spot the flat 4 throw down? It's a bit of a blur when it happens Rather than editing this video I decided to just cut the beginning/end off which was me setting up the camera and such.

Feel free to compare this to my older vids... you can SEE the power gain!

Couple of notes:
  • Slow driveby was done at 55mph in 6th gear to see what cruising sounded like.
  • I did a little 60-0 brake check at some point in the vid--not enough to make em squeak though.
  • I think I was shifting around 5500-6k rpm on most flat outs.
  • This was totally a closed course.. yep. The jeep and cavalier were pace cars.

ENJOY!

Dude i love your videos. Now your car sounds mean! Its perfect, not too loud yet very aggresive when floored. How are you liking the sways?

Thanks for the video, sounds great. Your plans are very similar to what I am planning for mine. I am also torn between the gold SSR Type F and the gold Advan RS. I just got a Magnaflow catback that I still have to install and have a TurboXS downpipe on order.

Just a quick suggestion. If you recode the video using XVID, Divx, etc. you can cut the size down to under 100mb without losing much quality.

Yeah I tried to recode it and it kept crashing on me. Any particular program you might recommend? The standard divx encoder simply did not work. I think it might be a vista issue

The sways are great. Some people are noting (who I've taken for a ride) that the ride is a little harsher now but as a driver I could care less. It really isn't super bouncy for an STi, heck I only have 22mm and 20mm bars. I suppose I could try the lightest settings for the sways at some point and see how the ride differs but I'm liking how it's handling now much more than stock.

One tool I have used to do XVID encoding is AutoGK although it hasn't been updated in awhile. I have also used Virtual Dub. AutoGK is easier to use, when it works, but Virtual Dub is still being updated. I don't know how they work with Vista because I am still running XP on all of my computers. If you ever have any type of video or DVD capture, conversion, editing, etc. questions, I have found this site to be extremely helpful. It has plenty of guides, walkthroughs links to shareware and freeware tools.

Thanks for the comments about the sway bars. All the comments I have read regarding sways for the 2008 have been very positive. They are definitely something I am looking into in the future.
