IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | While the factory brakes are good, and probably enough for most people with just good pads and fluid... I have decided to upgrade them. Nothing bothers me more than to be at the track and have brake fade, or issues for that mater. The last thing you need to worry about is if your car is going to stop. So to remedy that issue I decided to get Stoptech's matched set Brake upgrade. This upgrade consists of 355mm front rotors with a 6 piston caliper, and 345mm rear rotors with a two piston caliper. Both front and rear rotors are designed as a two piece rotor for light weight and easy replacement. As with all Stoptech products the install was a breeze. Everything was included in the box that is needed except tools and brake fluid. All in all it took me about 3 hours total to do all 4 corners. I have always disliked my black calipers so by replacing them it gave me a chance to also add a little bling, and match my calipers to the cars color. I haven't had much time on them except for last night, which was just to bed them in. But so far the brake pedal is much much firmer, and the balance is leaps and bounds above the stock setup. Before someone says anything... I know my car is dirty. I don't really care I drive the car everyday, so its not some garage queen. Stock front vs Stoptech front rotor Stock rear vs Stoptech rear rotor Durty durty... Rear brakes Front brakes |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | Almost forgot... with the new stoptech kit it gives me more clearance between the front wheel and caliper so I can now run my 18 x 10 rpf1's upfront with no spacer. Also my Cosworth FMIC should be here today so look for install pics and a write up about that tomorrow. I also got me one of these sequential shift lights to go in as well. Its made by ecliptech and I have to say I was very impressed with how fast it got here from Australia |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2009 | Were you able to retain the factory ebrake with those rear rotors? I don't suppose you weighed them? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | Yes factory e-brake still fully functional. I didn't weight them, probably should have. But from what I could feel just holding them they are lighter. |
