IWSTI Addict since: May 2007 | isnt this deceiving? since the way MPG is calculated is based off # of miles driven and fuel consumption and since fuel consumption is calculated using injector duty cycles, 565cc injectors @ 40% IDC isnt the same as a 850cc @ 40%. unless im misunderstanding something, the stock MPG gauge is inaccurate after injector upgrade. Doug, how about a video of the car in action? |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 | ^ Yeah, that pic shows absolutely nothing . I guarantee you have to fill up just as often as you did before. Fancy tuning and big turbo upgrades doesn't mean you're going to get hybrid gas mileage. Although that would be nice. The ECU likely uses injector pulse width to measure fuel consumption... MPG or L/100km in my case. The ECU has no reason to treat injector scalar as a variable. Regardless of the injector you use, the ECU will be basing the fuel consumption calculation from the pulse width of a 565cc/min stock injector. Bigger injectors mean lower pulse width for the same fuel, so "better" fuel consumption according to the ECU. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | Actually my MPG reads within 1-2mpg of what I calc when pumping. Like I have said before if the injectors are scaled right in the ecu then it doesn't throw the calc off. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | Just ordered some new parts for my ride. I am planning on running it in some local NASA events so I might as well get it ready. So... coming soon... StopTech front and rear brake kit, Cosworth FMIC, and GSC S2 cams. I will also do some kind of lip but I am not sure just yet which one. |
