IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 | I've been lurking for a while as I went through my decision process of what to get once I sold my Mazda (gas sucking, low resale value, almost out of warranty) RX8. Guess what I got? Mods/Accessories so far: -- ClearBra on front bumper, hood, mirrors, headlights, and rear fenders (I used Jeremy who gave me a great price, see here) -- Front license delete plaque -- Perrin 2" Shorty Antenna -- OEM armrest (with Alacantara cover from stock armrest installed) -- OEM cargo tray -- OEM rear bumper protector Soon: -- Kenwood DNX-8120 GPS head unit with PAC steering wheel controls More pictures here |

Screen is 6.95", about as big as you can get in Double-DIN opening. Navi is not HD-based, but uses memory, I believe. It does leave the DVD player free even when navi is active. Yes steering-wheel controls are no problem. Do a search on PAC-JACK which works dandy with this unit. And finally, you can do anything you want with the unit while moving (inclu entering addresses) provided you connect the "parking brake" sensor wire (it's green as I recall) to a ground. One more thing... the bluetooth on this unit is really good -- it connects right away and all the time to my phone and the reception is great, callers tell me... | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2008 | How's the sound quality of the Kenwood? Did you add/change any of the stock speakers? Does the Kenwood boot-up quickly? I was looking at the pioneer units, but they take nearly 2 mins to load up. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 | My D3 doesn't. The stock speakers will need to be changed to get any sort of decent sound. The stock speakers are absolutely awful. |
