IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | 2008 WR Blue WRX STI Bought 3/4/2008 in Turlock, CA BBS Wheels & Nav Mileage as of 10/7/2008: 8666 Factory Accessories added after purchase: Both rear cargo nets Cargo tray Roof rack base rails Alarm shock sensor add on Auto dimming rear view mirror w/homelink Bluetooth phone kit Aftermarket Additions/Modifications: Llumar CS series 5% tint rear 5 UV Shield front sides Hard wired Valentine1 Ralley Armor UR mud flaps Blue Batmobile red tail light films Debadged rear save the STI emblem Thule Peloton fork mounted bike racks Red pin stripped grille Cobb Accessport, Stage 1 Panavise mobile mount Original Message Well, after owning 4 dodge neons over the past 11 years I decided to step it up just a bit. I've been salivating over the new STi since concept pictures came out last summer. Finally after saving up a bit of a down payment and making sure I wasn't going to get killed on my income taxes I picked up exactly what I wanted last Tuesday. WR Blue with BBS wheels and navigation. Got it for $500 over invoice but got $740 (retail) worth of accessories for $206. 450 miles on it so far and getting right about 19mpg with very mixed driving. At our last local meet a couple of friends took a few pictures, here are my favorites. And here is a couple of pictures of the neon I still have. Custom turbo setup with Megasquirt engine control. Ran a 13.86 @ 105 as pictured last time I took it to the track. Last edited by baneonrt; 10-07-2008 at 10:27 PM.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | Nice upgrade from the Neon. Never liked the Neons. My friend had on a while ago and it was the worst car ever. No offense. |

Hard to beat the handling in it's era for the price though.Mine is still solid after 120K miles but I know that's the exception rather than the rule. Steve | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | Do you still have your Neon or you sold it to get the STI? |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | I still have the White '98 R/T. Others I've had were a Blue '98 R/T, sold a couple months ago to help with the STi. A White '97 ACR and a Red '95 Sport Coupe. All two doors. The one I have now I've had since new and has been my project car for years. I do all the work except specialized machining, welding, etc. It has a fully built block with a turbo off the SRT-4. I help out a friend with his Megasquirt based business RS Autosport so we've been using it as a test car for MS based products. Steve |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 | These WRB's are like bus's, wait for ages then a bunch turn up at once. Wasnt it just a few weeks back Kevin was offering incentives for the first WRB journal? Congrats on the car! |
