Well, after owning 4 dodge neons over the past 11 years I decided to step it up just a bit. I've been salivating over the new STi since concept pictures came out last summer. Finally after saving up a bit of a down payment and making sure I wasn't going to get killed on my income taxes I picked up exactly what I wanted last Tuesday. WR Blue with BBS wheels and navigation. Got it for $500 over invoice but got $740 (retail) worth of accessories for $206.

450 miles on it so far and getting right about 19mpg with very mixed driving.

At our last local meet a couple of friends took a few pictures, here are my favorites.

And here is a couple of pictures of the neon I still have. Custom turbo setup with Megasquirt engine control. Ran a 13.86 @ 105 as pictured last time I took it to the track.

Nice upgrade from the Neon. Never liked the Neons. My friend had on a while ago and it was the worst car ever. No offense.

No offense taken, I've heard it all over the years Hard to beat the handling in it's era for the price though.

Mine is still solid after 120K miles but I know that's the exception rather than the rule.

Do you still have your Neon or you sold it to get the STI?

I still have the White '98 R/T. Others I've had were a Blue '98 R/T, sold a couple months ago to help with the STi. A White '97 ACR and a Red '95 Sport Coupe. All two doors. The one I have now I've had since new and has been my project car for years. I do all the work except specialized machining, welding, etc. It has a fully built block with a turbo off the SRT-4. I help out a friend with his Megasquirt based business RS Autosport so we've been using it as a test car for MS based products.

These WRB's are like bus's, wait for ages then a bunch turn up at once. Wasnt it just a few weeks back Kevin was offering incentives for the first WRB journal? Congrats on the car!
