Nice wheel choice... I was looking at those as well. What color did you go with?

| Professional STI Racer Feedback Score: 3 reviews | I got the Hella Supertones installed. There is a reason they are called 'Hella'.... 'cause they're HELLA loud! The video clips don't really do justice. The tone on these is really different and loud. It is ear piercing. Before... After... |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 | Spaceman, your car alone convinced me of the new STi design. If more people saw your car, there would not be nearly as many people that dislike the 2008s. Just thought I would join right quick and let you know that. The stock taillights look horrendous, however add the decal you got and it shoots straight up to flat out awesome looking. That pinstripe looks incredible as well. You have everything done so tastefully it's hard not to like it. Also, you should check out this exhaust on youtube. Sounds sick; it's amazing how these cars can produce a sound nearly on par with v8 engines. I can not wait to graduate from college and make the money it takes to purchase one of these bad boys. Can. Not. Wait. Only 3 more years of this bullcrap called engineering... Here's a question for ya: What kind of fuel economy does the thing get while in Intelligent mode vs the all out Sport# ? I don't know what the numbers advertised pertain to. Thanks. |

Thanks midnit! Install was very easy. Taking off the bumper is super-ooper easy, just a couple plastic push clips and the bumper snaps right off. Wiring was really easy as well. Here is a how to on the wiring. It does not take long at all. Took me maybe 2 hours, I just took my time because I wanted to do a clean install and I heat-shrinked all my connections and used some dielectric grease.

Thanks for the compliments. You really have to see the '08 in person to appreciate it (just don't stare at the stock taillights for too long I love the way the Subaru boxer engine sounds, and I can't wait till I get a DP and exhaust! Good luck with your schooling and I hope you find a good-paying job so you can afford the car you desire. As far as fuel economy in 'I' mode as opposed to 'S#', I couldn't really tell you. I haven't really had the chance to drive the car as much as I'd like to. I have a work truck so I rarely drive the STi during the week and I only get to really enjoy it on the weekends. I mainly stay in 'S' mode or 'S#', 'I' mode sucks and the only time I would turn it on is if I'm cursing on the highway or I'm in traffic. But staying mostly in 'S' and 'S#' I've gotten 19 miles to the gallon. I think getting 20-24 MPG is really feasible with this car.

SPACEMAN, I like the new updated format of your first post. You definately have a Journal that I enjoy visiting daily (or every login). And...man O man, your car is starting to look AMAZING. I know others have said this on here, but wow, great looking car with your mods, and im loving the look of those mean lookin' Hella's. I am learning a ton on iwsti.com for everyone, and I appreciate the help from everyone including yourself on the "How To's" and all of your pics and vids!!! Keep up the awesome work. Oh, and paint your intercooler with the STi logo IMO, just like I did. It's just one of those other things you can do to add to your look, even though I find myself striving to want to make my car look like yours everyday (minus the white, because I have DGM). HA. PS: Every time I visit your Journal, I find myself wanting to add more and more to my car. It's addicting, so please stop...NOT. WRONKS
