I'm fat and 50 and just tried the seat mod today. A difference for sure complimented by my new Maddad cb that was put on yesterday.

i tried pliers and other stuff.. i couldn't let it loose.

Just did this mod myself but I took out the entire assembly that snapped into both sides just to be safe. It makes a nice difference especially with my new 275/35 tires on a turn! thanks for the mod!!!

Just out of curiosity, did you have to roll your fenders to get 275's on there?

Nope! But I do have SSR Type F's 18x9 +50 offset, stock suspension but soon to have coilovers! I have a thread on here about it and I will post some pics sometime this week. tirerack has a special on the Sumitomo HTRZ II for $129 + shipping in 275/35/18, dont mean to threadjack sorry!

not sure about 05 seats...but the 06/07 sti you can do it..

A few friends at the subaru meet i go to have done it in there 06/07's and love it..The tensioners look different, but are the same thing..

Any one do anything about the broken bottom hook? I heard a nice pop yesterday, sure enough, it was the bottom hook that is now just dangling there
