Went to willow springs wednessday. These seats still suck royally for agressive driving at the track. (street driving is fine) But damn, didnt realize how horrible it was on the track, i was sliding all over the place.

Im going down this morning to test fit some brides at a local shop..

The stock seats suck horribly for daily driving for me. I've thought about getting a CG Lock but, not sure it'd really help all that much. My belt is always coming loose and am sliding around the seat when taking mild turns.

Being a fat *** the seats fit fine for me (no sliding around that a knee against the door doesn't fix), I may try this just to see how it is.

It takes about 5 seconds to unzip the back of the seat. Go have a look.

acually you can do this mod on the older seats, not sure whats comes in a 2.5i

But the older blue sti seats have the same design in them, my friends from our meet did it

Just did this easy mod and to me it makes a lot of difference atleast on my upper body. Great free mod!

Tried this today on my 09 WRX (not an STI I know, but at least this forum has some info on 08-09 models and a lot of that is relevent to the WRX, the rest are average at best) and I was surprised at the difference. Im rather small (60 odd kgs, 'bout 5' 10") and before today the seats gave no support. Just took missy out for lunch and it's all she heard about the whole drive. Also got my flatmate, who has no interest in cars to try the driver (modified) and the passanger (un-modified thus far) and he couldn't belive the difference. Im well impressed. Grazie.
