I think that goes to show that it probably wouldnt do anything in a crash situation..........

because I didnt want to find out if it does infact have any other adverse effects I made a bunch of 1/2" rings that I used to exted the conections at each end of the seat.....giving the best of both worlds, total 1" more deflection and still connected.........if anyone is interested ill take pics

^ I was thinking about doing the same, what did you do about the broken hook? Just bend what's left of it around the rings?

I bent the end and created an extra long ring for that hook making sure it covered the same distance as the other ones.....let see how long it takes to snap again....haha

LOL.

Well, another day of driving, another day of love for the STI seats, FINALLY. This bolstering mod is by far the best mod I've done to my car, and that includes downpipe/protune/springs/sways etc. THIS is my favorite mod. No longer do I fall out the window on the twisties. Love it!

I decided to do this mod. I only did the upper two and I definately noticed a differance. I left the lower one for lumbar support.

So I dropped into my seat one day and I heard a "pop" crap

unzipped the back and the lower hook had broken..doh...
I unhooked the top 2 and started driving like that..

so far, the difference is not that great...i think I need more thigh/hip support than back support...

So is everyone unhooking all 3 or just the top one? Does it make it better on both sides of the seat or will I feel lopsided if only unhooking the one side?
