IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2008 | I was waiting to do this to see the long term effect on other peoples cars but I did it over the weekend (1 minute each side). Noticed a immediate difference just sitting in it and even my 135 lb buddy who always rides shotgun noticed. Going on my special on ramps felt really really good and I felt like I could go faster than normal just because I wasn't pressed up against the door while turning. My buddy said he could also tell when going through the on ramps. Also, after doing it and looking at it, it doesn't look like it will do any damage to the seats. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | ^ Yea, doesn't seem to pull on the material anymore than stock. I left the passenger side and compared. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | Did some more driving yesterday and kept noticing how much better the seat feels. I think my GF was getting sick of me saying how nice it felt. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | Put me down as another happy customer. I have only done the top wire so far thinking it might be better for lumbar to keep the lowers hooked. As stated by others, very easy to do, I was a bit surprised how easily I could reach behind and inside the seat and without seeing anything unhook it with one hand.... seemed oddly familiar. Anway, after unhooking, I was a lot happier. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2008 | Just had this done to my car tonight (both front seats). Thanks STIopener! (my resident I-have-an-STI-issue-and-I-need-it-fixed-NOW guy) I'm 6'5" and I immediately noticed the difference, especially going from the bolstered mod driver seat to the passenger seat (before the passenger seat was done). Will have to see how the 5'4" wife feels about it. Hah! So far it's AWESOME. Finally have the bolstered seats my 2003 WRX had! |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2008 | Am I the only one thinking that a rear end collision with this mod could equal a broken back? I am tempted to try it, but it seems like it removes all of the support from the middle of the seat and leaves you with only the seat material as support in the center. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | ^FWIW a few of us broke the hooks from just sitting in the seats. I don't think they'd provide much protection. I'm 5' 7" and 155 and I broke my bottom hook somehow... |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2008 | Just an FYI, one of the hooks on my driver seat, after the seat mod, was pushing at the leather back of the seat a little. I taped a little insulation around the hook so it doesn't poke through the leather. On my seat at least, it was definitely going to do this. You might want to push against the back of your seats and check that the hooks aren't pressing against the leather. If people sit behind you with their legs pressed against the seat these hooks WILL destroy the leather. |
