| I'm a mech engineer, just a worker bee 2 years out of school, 72k this year. I love the standard distribution around 50k, and then the alarmingly high 100+ votes. Either we have a 2 tier userbase or some of us are posting out e-salaries? |

| not at all! I hold my BS in EE and my masters in Network Security / Computer Forensics. In the defense industry as a senior engineer the salary range is roughly $100K - $150K for an engineering manager. That is in the baltimore / DC metro area but I know other areas around the country that also support these salaries. You have to remember, some of us are old farts, I have been working for 26 years now in this industry and am part of senior management.

Hired on the Railroad at age of 22, straight out of the Marine Corps, worked as a Freight Train Conductor of 2 yrs, promoted to Locomotive Engineer and worked as such for 6 years, Road Foreman for 2 years, Senior Road Foreman since. Bonus last year was nice...but won't be nearly as much this year. BTD. |

| I am surprised at how willing people are to state their annual income. I've got no problem with it, just surprised. |

| Yeah, I am very surprised how many people have stated their income. I checked the top box. That's as far as I am comfortable disclosing. I am Professional Networker and Business Owner. I could have bought something more expensive, but why? The STI is fun to drive, has a gazillion mod options and room for my wife and grand-daughter. The car is easy to drive in S mode when they are in the car. When they're not, S# and a lead foot. I don't want 3 cars ~ don't have the space for them. I've had a few Vettes and an S2k. All great cars, but none can match the all around usefulness of the STI. If I did have the room, I'd still have an STI. |
