RayToday, Thanks for posting the link and the excerpt from the magazine, I enjoyed the video. I don't know if the 2.0L version of the STi is available in any other markets besides Japan, but I do know that Europe and the Americas all get the 2.5L. The only way I figured it was the UK spec (besides the fact that they were conducting the test in the UK ) was the numbers they used on the hp and torque. They list the BHP number for the STi in the UK, which is a little more accurate than the SAE HP that the US auto markets use for the specs on vehicles sold here.

Every chance he gets, he expresses his dislike for Americans but: 1. He makes his living on TV (where was it invented?) 2. He makes his living on TV testing automobiles (where was the first production automobile?) 3. He practicaly lives in "blue Jeans" (where again?) 4. And what does he purchase and wait 2 years for (Ford GT?)

The Stig however is a good tool for measuring the capabilities of the cars tested.

Anyway if 297 (or 305) is 0.5sec slower than EVO with 360 that is very good result don't you think!! spend 2-3k$ on STI and you have faster car then FQ360 which is much more expensive than STI...

They are both right, just different forms of measurement. BHP (also called crank horsepower) is more accurate and SAE HP is less accurate but produces a larger number. That is why it is used in USA marketing .

2: Germany. You can credit Olds with the assembly line, or Ford with perfecting it, but it was Benz who first sold a "production" car. Not many, but more than enough to meet the definition of "production": Automobile - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 3: Italy. The blue denim material and associated pants far pre-date the United States. Jeans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 4: And he got rid of it, IIRC.

You really have too much time on your hands, but ok. The fact that "Wikipedia" has an edit button at the top of the page that anyone can use and change the content, really doesn't qualify it for a credible source for anything. But ok, I stand corrected by the "My-Space" generation.
