Default So Cal: 09 STI's Any Great Deals?

I've been watching the thread on the deals folks are getting on 08's between $4000-5000 off MSRP. However, has anyone bought a 09 STI close to these prices? It seems that dealers have a grip of 09's as well, and non are moving off the online inventory lists. Plus, I guess Subaru is offering 3.9% on all 09 STI's as well, so I think they recognize they are not selling well. I am ready to buy, but wondering if I should wait another month to see if prices drop on 09's close to 08 levels.

Been itching to get back into a STI for awhile now. Sold my 06 STI awhile back and was gonna get a 08, but kind of partial to the pearl white.

O/T, but test drove both the 09 STI and 09 WRX last weekend and I know the STI is faster than the WRX, but the WRX feels a bit more torquier and livelier. I am wondering if it is because of the gearing of the 5 spd compared to the 6 spd? Oh, and like everyone else says, the brake assist sucks big time. Almost stalled out the STI while doing a U-Turn on an incline.

The car market is crap right now I am sure you can get $5000 off MSRP on a 09. Just go through the internet department and by pass the general salesmen.

I think I will have to wait until the end of the month and try again. Dealers always act like they are selling you the one and only STI ever manufactured in the world.

I had a whole bunch of dealers offer $4000K off of the 08's but that is nothing new, they have been doing that for a while now. Half of them advertise it on their websites even. The best lines are when they say: "oh, this internet pricing is only for this weekend" Gee, like you would not offer me this price on a 08 on a Tuesday, while your dealer is sitting on 16 Sti's.

Hopefully, Subaru will wakeup and realize the masses are not beating down their doors to buy the STI and throw some more dealer money to the dealers to move them.

So far the offers have been 09 STI at invoice or $700 below invoice from another dealer. So I think we will wait. I want an 09 STI, but I think I can out-wait the dealer on this for a good deal.
