Thanks for the pics. Hadn't got round to installing mine yet, but the 'sky is falling' crowd now has fact vs the stuff rattlin around in their heads - to look at.

Love the look of the lifted wing.

I will edit in a picture of another STi without the risers with its trunk fully open, since I can't exactly get a "before" picture right now. Again, I am not arguing at all that this is any kind of genius design. I'm merely arguing that the functionality of the hatch is not compromised as many are making it out to be.
Would not a piece of small diameter heater or black rubber pressure hose, slit lengthwise work to conceal it/blend it in?

Yeah, it would. I just noticed that the kit came with a hose that's able to be cut to fit snugly between the wing and the hatch. The cables don't look nearly as bad with it on, but it still isn't perfect.

I actually do kinda like the look, but the cables I don't think I could live with... Any wind noise or anything like that?

Funny how no one has spoken to functionality. It is meant to increase airflow to the back and keep the window cleaner. I would assume it could improve downforce, especially if the full 4 were used.
I've a Seibon CF spoiler on my race car and am looking to see if raising it might improve aero. I know tipping it at a greater angle would get me more downforce. Seems breaking the vacuum at the tail by having a gap might be beneficial.

because it not functional at all. For starters, the underside is not smooth.. you can't control airflow with lines/bumps from the factory mold

The seibon cf wasn't any better than the factory wing. Race teams who had them added a gurney flap... then they doubled the size of the flap... then doubled the size of the already doubled gurney flap till they changed it completely or dumped it a for a ____ (can't remember the company that makes functional ones)

qbanrex,
car looks good... can't believe the 08s are 9 years old now

Only thing that got a little sparkle in my eye was the mention of the dust would be less on the back of the car.....I mean I get 1/2 inch of dust collecting on my wiper...but, that's the only thing I could see it helping. I guess you could get use to it but for some reason it just looks better flush with the roof as intended. And for what you get I do believe they are out of their minds charging what the charge for it

To each his own if you like it sweet justice
