Guys, I tinted the rear using Lamin-X and it was really easy. Honestly, I'm by no means a pro and the rears went on in about 20 minutes each side, max. I did the headlights and THOSE were very difficult but the rears were very simple. Just made sure I laid them out in the sun to get them as pliable as possible.

Just figured I would get another option out there since it seems quite a few on here had a tough time with the HM/Bat overlays.

i agree that lamin-x is easy to lay cause its a different and softer material to lay down then the blue bat.....but nonetheless both products are great....

the trick to the the blue bat it to work you way from the inside(being the most curvy part of the light) outwards....

just make sure you spray a light coat of water and soap mix on the lights before laying the vinyl....

once layed on, use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the spot that needs to be stretch.....once streched use a credit card or hard edge to sqeeze some of the water out....
HINT:spray a little water and soap before using the credit card or hard edge to prevent scratching the layout

keep doing this a little at a time cause once the material cools down

CAUTION: dont let the heat gun or hairdryer sit to long on the same spot

pretty much just keep doing this til it stretched to the end....you'll barely have anything left to cut at the end.....and i did take the lights off the car before i started....

for the people that is afraid of screwing theirs up, just take it to a tint shop.....might cost you 30-50 bucks....

Looks good!

Got a question, how come on some fellow member's car, the overlay looks alittle bit darker red than some? Could it be the lighting of where they took the pics

it all depends on the company you get it from.....i think the thicker the material the deeper the red it is....

for the bubble you might be able to heat the material a little to soften the adhesive a either be able to run the bubble out w/ a plastic card or stretch the material til the bubble is out.....
