I dont get how a wrench is used, pics?
At the rear/back of the headlight housing (When you have the hood open), there are little gears/spindles that can be turned. You can most easily turn them by using a wrench. Check out Bownse's DIY and you will find a picture of what I am talking about. I used this when I adjusted my headlights and it worked perfectly!

Just did it, took a whole 10 minutes. Of course I wasn't so precise to find a strip mall and put tape up on a wall. I just raised both headlights higher while the dial was on 0 and tried to equal them out as best I could.

The instructions say this "When reinstalling the intake duct, take special care that the duct properly fits into the square opening in the air intake/air filter box (behind the passenger side headlight assembly)."

Is it that easy not to properly fit it? It seemed that the only way the holes lined up were if it was properly fit.

If you're asking whether or not the high beam height will change with the low beam height, then the answer is yes.

With your highs on, use the leveler switch and you will see that the high beam will move along with the low. That's what I remember, anyway.

It's the same as with my Civic ( that's for sale ).

Yes, that was my question. I just tried it on a 06 STI and the highbeam moves together with the lowbeam adjustment. So i'm pretty sure the 08 STI is no different.

most of these adjusters move the entire housing. there is usually another control (burried somewhere in each housing) that can modify the offset of the high beam to the low beam. in any case i've bothered, those secondary controls are intentionally difficult to find and adjust (compared to the primary).

I just did this to my car a few hours ago.

As always, I thought I could do it without following the instructions and quickly proved myself wrong when my damn headlights were pointing in two different directions. My car looked inbred.

Eventually I went back to my office where they have a covered parking garage that's nice and flat. Surprisingly, I matched my left headlight perfectly at the 25'/25" mark on setting 2. The right headlight was a little skewampus.

I read the "warning" regarding putting the air intake back on. Is there even a way to put it on wrong? I just slid the box back in and it seemed fine.

I do worry a little about how much slack there is in the connection. Is that normal? I thought it would lock in place a little bit firmer than it did.

No, the intake duct is supposed to be a little loose (or at least not fit snug/not move at all), so there's nothing to worry about. It is just there to direct air towards the intake, so it doesn't need to be all "high tech" and fit properly I guess.

I adjusted mine when I was low on gas, and now that I filled up I think I may be aimed a bit high. :\
