Sorry I am a bit confused on this whole mess.

Assuming I do as this picture says:



Then my fogs will turn on whenever I want? (Assuming I pick the 12v source I want to the red part) and will not turn off when high beams go on right?
Do I have to cut through all the wires or just splice into each one?

I assume the fog illum. on the cluster not going on unless the headlight goes on has not been figured out?

And with the above method they would turn off with the fog light switch even if headlights are on right?

So just to be clear, I need to cut 2 wires behind the relay and one wire at the switch.

Then connect the upper relay prong to the cut wire at the switch and connect the lower relay prong to a 12v source?

Because all these threads seem so much more complicated then what I just said...

I'm still hoping that someone can source an EDM stalk to see if that's all that's needed to have the fogs turn on with the parking lights.

That is my understanding. My fog light indicator no longer works. It would if the VY wire at the stalk was tapped instead of cut, IIRC.

If by "they" you mean the lanterns then, yes.

The thread provides the details of doing it, such as the specific colors of the wires to cut, which should be helpful. Also, there were some slight differences in instructions.

Hey guys I ordered my fogs yesterday and I'm hoping they will come in tomorrow! I hope to do a switch and set to here I can turn it on whenever I feel like it, and not only when the headlights are on. Seems like it's a lot harder on the guys that had the fogs already in there cars.

when i did this the fog lights turned on and so did the headlight i am guessing i am on the right path if i cut the wires and replace them. the only thing that did not work was the indicator on the dash. that might also be due to the wires still being in place.

my other idea.

If the "12v power source" mentioned above is the marker light circuit, then will the fog lights only come on when the marker lights are on?
