IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | my dealership is taking my car to the body shop and giving me a rental till completed. They are re spraying the rear quarters and putting on the added clear protection for fender flares. And will possibly be respraying the masive chunk taken out of my hood. For those looking for the TSB just go or contact the dealership and they will have it and will take it from there. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2009 | I have guy works for me that is a 20 year body man. He was going to mix up some touch up paint to air brush so he got all the factory paint info to do so. he then informed me this is a water based enviormental freindly type paint made so it can go straight to the sanitary sewer legaly. Translation is this paint is extremely thin and goes on almost like water. He said he will touch the chips on the hood and air dam, let cure out then go with a heavy dose of clear coat to help prevent future damage. All damage to mine is on the front, got caught behind a tractor trailer rig that kept drifting to the shoulder and just sandblasted me. I am still on the fence on the clear bra because I am concerned with how it looks after a few years, but i guess it has to look better than all the chips. |

| Professional STI Driver Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Just noticed a small spot right between the two pieces of protective film on my right rear door jamb. Gonna wait till after the majority of winter is over before I make a fuss at the dealer so I don't get the car repainted only to have it re injured before the next winter... |

I had asked the dealer about upgrading the film to the new style was told they would not cover it. Seems SOA was unwilling to provide any coverage until the damage occured.

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 | The new pieces leave much to be desired. Its not enough to cover the quarter panel and it looks like we will have to go aftermarket. |

| STI Driver Feedback Score: 8 reviews | what do you guys think. is it worth going thru the hassle of allowing succeptable portions of the car to undergo paint damage and get repainted with a better quality paint OR would you still make the optional investment for splash guards and clear bra to save the 'original paint' even though it's quality is subpar? |

) I'd get the car sanded, repainted, and cleared with something way more durable, then still clear bra everything and RA flaps just as an added measure, but I'm obsessive about my paint when it's new. When I had my bike I was terrible. I think I'm just going to have to throw in the towel and succumb to the fact that it's a car, I drive it every day, and it's gonna get beat up.
