Default Greddy SE Exhaust - 08 STi - Install Pics and Brief Review

Just installed my new Greddy SE CBE last Saturday on my 08 STi, and figured I'd post some pictures and comments for everyone on the forums.

The build quality, welds, bends, flanges, muffler, and tips are all excellent quality (very clean and precise). Fitment was amazing.

The Greddy CBE is substantially lighter than the stock unit, and the muffler is about half the size of the OEM.

The exhaust has a very deep rumble, with the signature "boxer" sound. The exhaust is generally not loud, unless you are WOT throttle, then it really shines. I would say this exhaust is perfect for someone who wants to "hear" their car, and is looking for a moderate "loudness" for daily driving (not attracting undesired attention).

The exhaust also looks fantastic, and for the first time, I actually like the blue Ti tips on this unit.

Just incase anyone is wondering, the piping is 2.75", which on a stock turbo, I think is all anyone needs. The exhaust buts up against my Crawford Performance 3" catless downpipe perfectly, and should also fit perfectly on a stock DP.

The pictures were taken on my iPhone, and are decent quality. I'm not quite sure how to post pictures, so I have posted them on MobileMe Gallery, please see the link below.

yeah it's a really nice catback, the greddy test 08 sti lives here in Las Vegas and it sounds great, the only thing i don't like about it is that the center pipe isn't a full 3 inches it's like 2 3/4.

I paid $1,300 shipped on the Speed Element group buy. I think you can get it for that much even without the "group buy".

Installation was very easy. If you have a lift, and the car is cool, you can get it done in 15-20 minutes. Fitment is perfect. After having driven the car more, and more carbon has deposited in the exhaust system, the exhaust sounds even better. Very deep, aggressive sound, but absolutely not obnoxious. I just got pulled over the CHP for speeding, and they didn't even notice the system.

Nice exhaust. I take it your CHP Foundation plate holder didn't help you? :-)

The funny thing is, the next day after your post, someone stole my CHP 11-99 plate frame..... Amazing what people are capable of....
