Default I poured winsheild fluid in my coolant reservoir...

Ya so apperently tonight I was out of it...My windsheild wiping fluid was out so I put the car in the garage quick and proceed to start filling what I thought was the windsheild fluid reservoir....after I filled it ALLL the way up and close the cap is when I realized what I had done. So i naturaly freak out start running all over the place find a hose and siphoned out all the fluid up till the full mark.

Now my question is how ****ed am I? The winsheild stuff i poured down there was the blue kind and acording to the lable is a water/methenol mix. Now I realize both winsheild fluid and coolant are both antifreeze so I hope I am more or less ok. Do you guys think I need to go flush my whole coolant system or will I be ok? I am at 12k miles so I have another 13k before I need to do that.

FLUSH! That would be the safest bet, Subaru coolent, Subaru conditioner, and distilled water come to about 15-20 bucks. I would just clean it all out. That is my opinion. Also I always just use distilled water for every thing. I dont bother with the windshield washer fluid.

you shouldn't have to flush the whole system. esp. if the car was cold, the fluid wouldn't have been syphoned into the system. Just remove the overflow tank, empty it out and refill it with coolant/distilled.

Subaru seriously sells their own brand of coolant, and the cooling system conditioner. I am sure stores sell the same thing and cheaper.

if all you did was put it into the coolant overflow tank while your car was cold/off then just take out the overflow bottle and clean it. It wouldnt hurt to flush your system though would it. You could use this as a good excuse lol.

do you flush out the system w/ distilled h2o, or strictly the coolant?
