Default which options on 2007 STI?

Hi All,

I will be buying a 2007 STi withing couple of weeks, my coworker bought one and took me for a ride, and my neck still hurts, what a beast, and that boxer rumble sound is amazing. Anyway, i was wondering if you guys can tell me the options, accessories i should get when buying one. I figured that short throw shifter and boost guage should be normal, anything else i should think about?

Thanks.

I like the boost gauge but not the factory short throw. You will probably save money by going with a cart boy or other setup. Of course by getting it through the factory you can amortize it over the life of the loan, but, if you are getting an inferior product...

- Factory Boost Gauge
- Short Throw Shifter (under factory warranty)
- Auto Dimming Mirror w/ Compass (homelink if you want)
- Arm Rest Extension (if you're tall)
- Fog Lights
- STi Mats (not the all weather mats)
- Wheel Locks
- Alarm System

I would get the short throw shifter if you dont feel like installing an aftermarket one. Plus their shifter is under warranty. Cant believe the short shifter doesnt come standard.

Floor mats. I wish I could have bought STi mats when I got mine.

Short shifter if you like it.

Alarm upgrade if your not going to do aftermarket, and same for wheel locks.

I got a stripper back when.

I got the fogs, boost gauge, and Sirius satellite radio w/factory subwoofer.

Sound system is nothing to brag about, but the sirius radio is awesome.

IMO 06-07's look 100 times better with fog lights.

Short throw... autodim WITH homelink if you own a garage. Short throw option WITH kartboy is better i hear compared to regular shifter with Kartboy.

Wheels locks short throw shifter and

IMO need a boost gauge for gas mileage purposes and make sure the car is running properly.

Stay out of boost = better gas mileage.. How are you supposed to tell when you are in boost without a gauge?

Staying out of boost isn't tough especially when you're cruising. Also, just short shift at 3K rpm. The OEM boost gauge is an eyesore. Get the Defi Ambers, at least it will match your dash and be much easier to read.

I totally agree about the 06-07's looking better with fogs. The fog light covers look so....blah. They're just plain and.......just get fogs.

I wouldn't get any options on it. Most of the stuff you'll replace or can get cheaper elsewhere.
