Default Need Help on my Door locks

I just noticed that my car unlocks itself every time i lock it with the transmitter or with the locks. This happens 1 minute after i lock it everytime. Can anyone help me figure out what the problem is.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a faulty keyless entry module in the dash. Do you still have warranty time left (3 years/36,000 miles on that stuff)? Have you tried both remotes?

ah i see, yeah i still have warranty. The thing is that i just got my car back from the body shop. They repaced the rear bumper because i got into a fender bender accident. So when i got it yesterday it started acting up like that. I called them and they told me to take the car back on tuesday.

A sensor is probably messed up somewhere where the car thinks one of it's doors is not closed.

The trunk is part of that, and since it was a rear ender, it may be the problem. But, on my car, when anything is open, the car won't lock until the open door or trunk is closed.

the auto body guy made it do this on purpose.

he plans on easily stealing your ride when you are away and thinking it is locked.

seen it happen 100 times

Mine doesn't work like that. When I get out, if I need something from the trunk, I'll pull the release and push the lock button on the fob. I get 5 beeps to signify the car is not fully closed, but the doors still lock when I push the button. Then, when I close the trunk I get one beep to signify the system is armed. This also applies to leaving a door open. The OP sounds like something else.

Hmm, I'm thinking that that is what mine does, and my original post was wrong. Thanks.

Also make sure your battery in the transmeter is good, but I bet it's a trunk sensor that's doing that
