I thought about that. What about a plate like...

1I1II1 OR
III1II OR
11I1I11 etc.

... something kind of confusing so at a quick glance you might not see it right or they might even write it down wrong on the ticket.

Yeah I getcha...

maybe 00H STi (using zeros instead of O's hehe)

TM52 SRT isn't that memorable though, unless the cops are big fans of those facelifted pictures haha

Yes, in California you can order plates without a VIN. The local DMV office that has my plates is holding them until summer, when my STi comes in. I could put the plates on my current car, a '92 BMW 318is, but it would make no sense, hence, they're just gathering dust until this summer at the DMV office.

That was a reply to a post about personalized plates being an easy target, easy for a cop to remember when you fly by him at double the speed limit or something. So I suggested something like that so it would not be easy to remember or even read at a quick glance. Nothing I would put on my car though.

On the subject of I11II1I type plates, combinations of Ms and Ns often work well. MNMMNNM or something. It depends on the font to some degree. I think one of the last Obfuscated C contests that allowed macros used this, with the result being the entire program consisting of giant subtly different strings like mnmmnmmnnnmnmmmnnmmnmnmnn. Completely and totally unreadable.

My plates arrived today: "STI". I wanted "WRX MUNDI" but that's too long, and abbreviating it would make it too obscure. I chose a Wildlife plate which means I'm limited to 5 characters. I was a bit surprised it was available. I've never had a personalized plate before -- we'll see how it goes.

Default Full size spare?

In Illinois I don't think the 11II11I thing would work because I found out there has to be spaces between numbers and letters and I think if there are numbers they have to be last.

Anyway, I tried for "STI" but it was already taken, so I am getting
"XX STI XX" which should be arriving any day now.
